Inaugural National Institute of Nursing Research Director’s Lecture

This month, NINR will host its inaugural Director's Lecture as part of the yearlong observation of its first 25 years at NIH. Bernadette Melnyk, Dean and Distinguished Foundation Professor in Nursing at Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation, will deliver the lecture on "COPE: Improving Outcomes for Premature Infants and Parents."
Dr. Melnyk is an internationally recognized expert in theory-based intervention research and evidence-based practice as well as in child and adolescent mental health. Her COPE intervention program to improve outcomes among critically ill children, premature infants, and their parents has been implemented by hospitals and insurers nationwide.
Next Steps
The NINR Director's Lecture will be an annual event, designed to bring the nation's top nurse scientists to the NIH campus to share their work and interests with a transdisciplinary audience.
