NIH Public Bulletin – January 2011
Partnering with the Down Syndrome Community
When: January 24–March 7, 2011
Where: Nationwide
Institute: Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)
In December, NICHD co-hosted a major scientific meeting with the Global Down Syndrome Foundation to explore the development of several critical research resources, including a contact registry, a research database, and a biobank. Participants with varied expertise in aspects of research reviewed current models for these resources and possible adaptations to benefit the Down syndrome research community. To gather input from an even wider range of interested parties, two Requests for Information (RFIs) will be released shortly.
