Encouraging Research on Vulvodynia

Vulvodynia is a poorly understood group of conditions that cause chronic pain in the vulva, or external female genitalia. Following a year of meetings with and input from scientists, clinicians, and patient groups, NIH recently released its research plan for learning more about this disorder, its features, and possible treatments.
