New Cookbook Gets Families Involved in Preparing Healthy Meals

Are you looking for ways to get your family members to eat healthy meals and involve them in enjoyable meal preparation at the same time?

Keep the Beat™ Recipes: Deliciously Healthy Family Meals was developed in partnership with NIH's We Can!® (Ways to Enhance Children's Activity & Nutrition) program—a national education program to help children stay at a healthy weight. The new cookbook features recipes for colorful and exciting main dishes, side dishes, and snacks. It also outlines ways to encourage family members to eat and live healthier, ways to plan and prepare healthy meals while taking into account everyone's busy lives, and ways to get children involved in the kitchen. The book includes a food guide and dictionary of cooking terms to actively engage children while teaching them that healthy cooking and eating can be fun.
