Conference Explores the Science of Community Engagement

In May, the Community Engagement Committee of NCRR's Clinical and Translational Science Awards Consortium will partly sponsor the third annual conference focusing on aspects of community engagement. This year's conference, Partnering to Improve Health: The Science of Community Engagement, will emphasize the scientific rigor of community engagement. Participants will discuss:
- Ways to build effective collaborations with community partners to increase clinical research study participation and improve health outcomes.
- Methods, models, and outcomes that demonstrate measurable health improvements.
- Development and refinement of research tools to improve community engagement efforts.
- Ideas for identifying and securing local and regional resources.
The conference will also feature a community engagement poster session.

Partnering to Improve Health: The Science of Community Engagement is free and open to the public. Registration is required by May 10.
