2010 Healthy Vision Community Awardees
Institute: National Eye Institute (NEI)
NEI recognizes the importance of empowering community-based organizations to develop innovative eye health education and promotion projects. The Healthy Vision Community Awards Program provides awards of up to $10,000 each to nonprofit organizations in the United States to stimulate collaborative initiatives supporting the vision objectives in Healthy People 2010. The objectives address examinations and prevention, eye diseases, injury and safety, and vision rehabilitation.
In 2010, 37 organizations from around the country received Healthy Vision Community Awards.
