This month, the Robert J. Wenthold Memorial Lecture, part of the NIH Neuroscience Seminar Series, will honor the work and contributions of the late Robert J. Wenthold, the NIDCD's scientific director from 1998 to 2008. Guest speaker Peter Gillespie of Oregon Health and Science University will present "The Hair Bundle's Protein Constellation," with a reception to follow.
The NIH Neuroscience Seminar Series features lectures and discussions with leading neuroscientists. Sponsored by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute on Aging, the NIDCD, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the National Eye Institute, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, and the National Human Genome Research Institute, this year's series offers seminars on aspects of molecular, cellular, developmental, and cognitive neuroscience as well as neuroscience-related topics in disease, pain, and genetics.
