NIDA Grantee Receives Prestigious North Carolina Award

NIDA grantee F. Ivy Carroll was among six distinguished North Carolinians honored last month by Governor Beverly Perdue with the state's highest award, the North Carolina Award. As the award's recipient for science, Dr. Carroll was honored for his research in medicinal chemistry, including his groundbreaking work in the areas of biochemical addiction and drug abuse research. The other honorees were in the fields of literature, fine arts, and public service.
