United States and the Republic of Chile Partner to Battle Cancer – 2
Narrator: This is NIH Health Matters. The National Cancer Institute and the Chilean Ministry of Health are collaborating to accelerate cancer research. NCI’s Dr. Jorge Gomez explains.
Dr. Gomez: I think this is a very unique partnership. The idea is to work with the Latin American countries in a collaborative way, so that we can gain a better understanding of cancer in Latin American men and women and also trying to extrapolate that information to our Latinos here in the United States.
Narrator: Under a signed letter of intent, the institutions may work together to promote the exchange of technical information, develop joint research projects, and share access to lab and training activities.
