Fun Summer Days – Eating Better and Getting Active – 6
Narrator: This is NIH Health Matters. I’m Joe Balintfy. Looking for some healthy summer habits? Harrison Wein, editor of the NIH News in Health newsletter, highlights these wise choices.
Wein: I’d say get active outside in the early morning or evening. Or, get active indoors: Go to an air-conditioned gym, do water workouts or use a fitness video at home. So take opportunities to get physical activity. And also, take the opportunity to explore seasonal fruits and vegetables at your local farmers market, or grow your own. And try different fresh herbs to make healthy foods more interesting.
Narrator: For more summer healthy habits to eat better and get active, visit the NIH News in Health newsletter online at newsinhealth.nih.gov. Health Matters is produced by the National Institutes of Health, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
