Clinical Research Trials - 5
Narrator: This NIH Health Matters, I’m Joe Balintfy. Clinical research trials are at the heart of all medical advances. Dinora Dominguez, at the NIH Clinical Center adds that informed consent is a key part of the dialogue needed between patients and researchers involved in clinical research.
Dominguez: I think also that it’s necessary for all of us to participate, whether it’s as a healthy, whether it’s as an individual with a specific medical condition or diagnosis because it’s really the way that we can advance science.
Narrator: For more information about participating in a clinical research trial, visit the website clinicalresearchtrials.nih.gov. Health Matters is produced by the National Institutes of Health, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
