NIH launches new tool for parents to help keep kids drug-free – 2
Narrator: This is NIH Health Matters, I’m Joe Balintfy. Parents have a new online resource to help keep their children drug-free. Dr. Gaya Dowling at the NIH says parents need to help their kids understand the dangers of drugs so she recommends the Family Checkup website.
Dowling: It’s a tool for parents that provides them with some questions that they can think about how they interact with their children to prevent substance abuse among their kids.
Narrator: The Family Checkup online resource for parents has information on a variety of skills they can use to improve the way they handle certain situations with their teens.
