National Library of Medicine Launches Mobile MedlinePlus to Meet the Health Information Needs of an On-the-Go Public – 2
Narrator: This is NIH Health Matter. The mobile internet audience is large and growing fast, almost doubling from February '07 to February '09. Some experts believe that within the next five years, more people will connect to the internet by mobile devices than desktop or laptop computers. Ms. Loren Frant at the National Library of Medicine explains, that’s why the website m.medlineplus.gov is going mobile.
Frant: Mobile Medline Plus brings the same types of reliable health information that you can find on the full version of Medline plus to your fingertips.
Narrator: The mobile version of Medline Plus brings high-quality health information to users on the go. To access Mobile Medline Plus on your mobile phone go to m.medlineplus.gov. Health Matters is produced by the National Institutes of Health, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
