NHGRI Launches Genomics Careers Resource for Students – 3
Narrator: This is NIH Health Matters. I’m Joe Balintfy. The National Human Genome Research Institute has developed a website that provides career opportunities in genetics and genomics.
Easter: A database with 50 careers.
Narrator: Dr. Carla Easter is a science education specialist at NHGRI.
Easter: We also have what I think is the coolest part of this site, which is an interactive game where you can guess what people are going to be when they grow up. The final part of the website, is actually a way for students to create their own website and keep track of careers and individual videos and database entries that their most interested in.
Narrator: The Genomic Careers Resource website is available at www.genome.gov/GenomicCareers. Health Matters is produced by the National Institutes of Health, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
