Family Risk of Diabetes – 4

Narrator: This is NIH Health Matters. Studies show that people at high risk for diabetes, like those with a family history of diabetes or a condition called pre-diabetes, can prevent or delay the onset of the disease.

Dr. Rodgers: There are action steps that one can take, fairly modest lifestyle changes.

Narrator: Dr. Griffin Rodgers is the director of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.

Dr. Rodgers: And there are positive steps that one can take, modest steps that one can take to prevent or delay the onset of diabetes.
