Making a plan to prevent diabetes and its complications – 3
Narrator: This is NIH Health Matters. I’m Joe Balintfy. For the nearly 26 million Americans living with diabetes, managing the disease and its complications can be a struggle.
Rodgers: Even if you know what to do to improve your health, figuring out how to do it and fitting it into your daily routine can be a big challenge.
Narrator: Dr. Griffin Rodgers, an institute director at the NIH recommends setting goals and making a plan.
Rodgers: Start by setting one goal to work on first. Decide on a goal that is important to you, and is something that you are willing and able to do.
Narrator: He adds, goals should be realistic. For tips on setting, and meeting goals, visit www.YourDiabetesInfo.org/MakeAPlan. Health Matters is produced by the NIH, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
