Jumpstart Your Research Career with CSR's Early Career Reviewer Program video allows you to hear firsthand what participants are getting out of this popular program. Five of them share the insights they gained into NIH peer review and discuss how they believe the program will help them produce better NIH grant applications and advance their careers.

The NIH Center for Scientific Review recruits about 17,000 reviewers a year to review the majority of the 70,000 to 80,000 grant applications sent to the National Institutes of Health each year. With the majority of NIH's $30 billion budget supporting grants to researchers, these reviews are key to future advancements in science and health.
