Biomotor and RNA Nanotechnology for Medical Applications

NIH funding to Peixuan Guo at the University of Kentucky has led to three major breakthroughs: 1 Discovery of a revolving biomotor that can serve as a prototype for synthetic nanomotors to deliver therapeutic DNA RNA or drugs into diseased cells 2 Discovery to this biomotor into a lipid membrane for environmental monitoring athlete drug screening and disease diagnosis has the potential to deliver a persons entire genome for as low as 1000 through singlepore DNA sequencing 3 Creation of an RNA nanotechnology platform to construct nanoparticles to treat cancer.
