Wreaking Havoc on Disease

The Virginia Commonwealth University Center for Clinical and Translational Research provides the necessary infrastructure and resources for interdisciplinary human health research. The VCU CCTR seeks to accelerate the transformation of laboratory discoveries into treatments for patients engage communities in clinical research and train a new generation of clinical and translational researchers. The center is the home of the Clinical and Translational Science Award at VCU which was awarded by the NIH's National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences. VCU is the first academic health center in Virginia to join the national consortium of 62 research centers sponsored by the CTSA.
