Jessica Hulsey Nickel, President and CEO, Addiction Policy Forum — This presentation will provide the perspective of individuals and families impacted by the opioid crisis and the importance of medications to helping solve the problem.

Actionable Knowledge: Research Update on Opioid Use Disorder Treatment and Overdose Prevention & Reversal
9:30-9:50 a.m. Nora D. Volkow, M.D., Director, National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) — This presentation will highlight the progress to date and future plans for NIH-supported research on treating opioid use disorders (OUDs) and preventing/reversing overdose. Examples of existing NIH resources and initiatives to support relevant research will be discussed.
