The 2026 BRAIN Initiative® Conference convenes grant awardees, staff, leadership from the BRAIN Initiative’s federal and non-federal partners, and anyone interested in neuroscience and BRAIN Initiative-funded research. Conference participants discuss the latest scientific developments and exciting research priorities for technology-driven innovation in neuroscience. It provides a forum for collaboration, discussion, and coordination across the BRAIN Initiative community. This in-person conference is free and open to the public.

The BRAIN Neuroethics Working Group (NEWG), which is a group of experts in neuroethics and neuroscience that serves to provide the NIH BRAIN Initiative with input relating to neuroethics, will hold a virtual meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

The BRAIN Multi-Council Working Group, which works to ensure a coordinated and focused effort on BRAIN across NIH, will hold a virtual meeting on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
