Overview

The All of Us Research Program operates through a national network of funded partners. These organizations provide the infrastructure, technology, genomics capabilities, enrollment services, and community engagement that power the program. Each partner plays a distinct role in building one of the largest and most comprehensive health databases in history.

Research and Data Infrastructure

Partners in this group build and operate the core scientific and data infrastructure of the program: data storage, biobanking, genomic sequencing, linked-data acquisition, and the secure participant-facing technology platform.

Data and Research Center

The Data and Research Center houses the database of information provided by All of Us participants. The center ensures data is organized and secure, manages researcher access through the Researcher Workbench, and supports a growing community of researchers from academic institutions, industry, and healthcare organizations.

Biobank

The All of Us biobank stores and manages biological samples (blood, urine, and saliva) collected from program participants. Located at a specialized facility created for the program, the biobank supports the collection, analysis, storage, and distribution of biosamples for research purposes.

Genomics Partners

Genome Centers

The All of Us genome center generates genomic data from biosamples contributed by participants.

Center for Linkage and Acquisition of Data (CLAD)

CLAD expands the types and research utility of program data by acquiring and processing linked data from passive data streams within a secure platform. Linked data is delivered to the Data and Research Center. The CLAD team also develops analytical tools to help researchers work with linked data.

Participant and Partner Service Center (PPSC)

The PPSC develops and supports the secure technology platform that facilitates participant involvement in All of Us. Through the platform, participants can enroll, complete surveys, connect digital health technologies and electronic health records, and access health information. The center also provides communications and marketing support for program staff and partners.

Enrollment and Outreach Network

Partners in this group recruit, enroll, and sustain participation across the program. The network includes a direct-to-volunteer enrollment partner, regional health care provider consortia and community health center sites, and national communications and community engagement partners.

Participant Center

The Participant Center manages enrollment for direct volunteers who join All of Us without access to a participating health care provider organization. It provides educational information through trusted partners and designs and implements strategies to keep participants engaged over the long term.

Health Care Provider Organizations

Health care provider organizations (HPOs) form the national enrollment network for the All of Us Research Program. The HPO network includes regional medical center consortia, community health center sites, and medical centers operated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). HPOs support participant enrollment, specimen collection, and electronic health record data contribution.

These organizations develop and refine community health center approaches for enrolling individuals, families, and communities into All of Us, especially those historically underrepresented in biomedical research.

Community Engagement Partners

A sub-group within the Community Engagement Partners. The Community Advocate Network is made up of organizations dedicated to advancing medical research whose missions align with All of Us.
