On-Site Records

The NIH On-Site FOIA Library (FL) contains a variety of records that come from several of the Institutes and Centers at the NIH. The records are indexed with an identifying number to assist users in locating the record(s) of interest. The Index of Records is available at this site for your convenience. The records are available for reviewing in the FL, which is located in Building 31, Room 5B-35. The hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (closed on Federal holidays). A copy machine is available for users to duplicate records of particular interest. Please contact the FOIA Office to make arrangements to view one or more of these records.

Past productions of fluoride records *

  • Production to a member of the public in response to FOIA request #59447 – emails from the CDC, FDA, NIDCR, NIH leadership, and HHS Assistant Secretary of Health that expressed concerns about the NTP fluoride monograph and a May 2022 publication date.

  • Production to a member of the public in response to FOIA request #58947 – emails about fluoride between NIDCR employees and non-government persons sent to or received between August 1, 2020 and September 8, 2022.

  • Production to a member of the public in response to FOIA request #59250 – emails sent to or from Lawrence Tabak between April 26, 2022 and July 26, 2022 that include one or more of the following terms: NTP, National Toxicology Program, fluoride.
