Executive Committee

The Executive Committee provides overarching insight and leadership to three of the four trans-NIH initiatives under the Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics (RADx®) umbrella. The RADx Tech governance structure is separate and described below. The committee supports a broad framework for coordinating the RADx initiatives across the NIH, with final approval from the NIH Director.

RADx Tech Governance Committee

The RADx Tech Governance Committee oversees implementation of the RADx Tech program by the Point of Care Technologies Research Network (POCTRN), provides final decisions on which innovative diagnostic projects receive NIBIB funding at each stage of the fast-track process, and ensures effective stewardship and management of funds throughout the program.

RADx Tech Working Group

The RADx Tech Working Group is made up of five RADx Tech operational teams—leadership, program, communications and policy, partnerships, and budget— consisting of individuals from across NIH who provide strategic planning and hands-on NIH facilitation of the effort to speed development of accessible COVID-19 testing, which engages academia, industry, and government.
